In my childbirth education classes you will learn in-depth what to expect during labor and birth. You will also learn about nutrition and exercises to stay healthy and low-risk, how to make informed decisions, and role play/practice many techniques to help increase comfort in labor.
I have worked as an independent doula since 2006. I am currently expanding my education with Birth Arts International and a Novice Rebozo Course with Gena Kirby (online). I also have worked as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as well as other Intensive Care Units in the past. I have experience helping mothers with Breastfeeding through independent work as well as my past volunteer work with La Leche League.
No. I have helped mothers labor and birth naturally and those who have used medication and or epidurals, I have also been a primary support person for mothers who have cesarean sections. I am happy to help you achieve your birth goals, whatever they may be in whatever birthplace you choose! My passion is helping mothers become educated about their labor and birth choices as well as learning the research-based evidence regarding various labor and birth interventions and procedures.
